We collect the usernames of the people who launch it for statistical purposes. To opt out of the diagnostic data, go to the ScratchOS settigns. The Scratch privacy policy applies here.

XAcademy:

The Google usernames are stored, but not used for commercial purposes. If you chose to participate in video conferences, every member will see you.

Security levels:

Level 1: Available after registration; Access to Documents, Places, and Question Board in suggestion mode;

Level 2: Available after trusting; Access to Documents, Places, and Question Board in writing mode; Video conferences available

Level 3: Only available for developers; Full access to all areas and databases; These users can add or remove other users and change the GUI of web pages.
